DESPITE global economic uncertainties, bilateral trade between China and Malaysia was almost RM300bil in the last two years, said Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir.
“Last year, about RM166.7bil in bilateral trade was recorded between the two countries, the highest in our trade history,” he said.
“China is the country’s largest trading partner. Malaysia has been the largest trading partner of China among the Asean nations in the past four years,” he told Azan Ismail (PKR – Indera Mahkota).
Mukhriz also noted that about RM118.3bil in Malaysia-China trade was recorded between January and August this year.
This was an increase of 10.5% compared with the same period last year, he added.
To date, he said that 133 projects worth RM826mil were invested by China in the electronic and electrical, metal fabrication and food manufacturing sectors in the country.
On a separate issue, Mukhriz stressed that there was no disadvantage to Malaysia on the proposed development of the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and Malay-sia-China Kuantan Industrial Park.
The projects would bring economic benefits to both countries, he said.

今年1至8月,大马与中国的双边贸易额达到1千183亿3千万令吉,比去年同期增加10.5%。
国际贸易及工业部副部长拿督慕克力,今日在国会下议院回答公正党英迪拉马哥打国会议员阿占依斯迈询问马中2国最新的贸易发展时说,马中两国的双边贸易目前正处於最好的阶段,中国是大马最大的贸易国,大马也是中国自2008年连续4年来,东南亚最大的贸易伙伴。
“2011年双边的贸易额达到1千667亿7千万令吉,成为史上最高的纪录。”
他说,截至2011年,共有133项中国厂商在我国设厂的投资计划,总值高达8亿2千620万令吉。在今年1月至7月,我国也已经批准了14项中国厂商来马设厂的投资,总值高达2亿3千67万令吉。
钦州產业园计划马中双贏
慕克力否认中马钦州產业园计划没有惠及大马,並强调这是一个马中双贏的计划。
他说,虽然中国方面声称在这项计划下获益,但大马方面並没有面对亏损。
针对阿占依斯迈在附加问题中指在钦州產业园计划中,中方从我国政府提供的各种措施中,获得很大利益,但我国关丹的姐妹產业园却仍未开始运作,政府承担的亏损和中国获益的情况不一样,政府该如何平衡这一点时,慕克力强调,我国並没有因为中国获得盈利,而必须承担亏损,因为这是个双贏的计划。
他指出,本身曾经参观钦州產业园,虽然已经正式开幕,但目前还没有任何工业在里面。“因此並没有发生大马必须承担中国利润的损失的问题。”
他说,两国给予的协助並不同,大马政府提供免税措施,中国政府则提供如买地津贴等。
2国获利方式各异
他说,两国都以自己的方式获利,更重要的是钦州產业园及关丹產业园的关係。
“关丹坐落在大马东部,因此从关丹至钦州的船运时间最长仅耗时3天,两国投资者都能够互惠互利。”
他说,7月19日及30日,两团来自广西的代表来马商討关丹產业园计划,两国私人领域將合作发展关丹及钦州產业园计划。
他说,马中代表討论后,认为石油及天然气、树桐、橡胶及油棕等可进驻关丹產业园。
