Elaborating on China-Malaysia relationship, Mr Chai reiterated that “it is currently at its best period in history” with substantial achievements in bilateral relations this year.

“The two countries have established strategic cooperative relations and signed landmark agreements this year,” he said, referring to the Panda Conservation Cooperation, the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) and the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, as well as the 100 Malaysia-China Youth Exchange Programme.

The ambassador said there had also been frequent high-level exchanges of visits this year and trade ties were increasingly closer.
