On November 17 at the Jiangsu Culture Trade Expo, Dato’ Beh Hang Kong delivered a speech followed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing at the Nanjing Trade in Services Innovation Development (Malaysia) Promotion Conference.
He highlighted the significant opportunities and longstanding bilateral trade and investment between Malaysia and China, particularly with Nanjing’s service-driven industry and as a national hub of education, research, transportation, and trade.
Deputy Director General Jiang Xin of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, and Director Mazlan Bin Harun of MATRADE showed great enthusiasm for Malaysia-Nanjing cooperation and yearned for deeper and closer ties in the service industry. Various other speakers shared the strengths of Nanjing’s service industry development in intellectual property, China (Nanjing) Software Valley, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and other high-tech sectors of the city.
The conference ended on a high note with the signing of the MoU on strategic cooperation between MCBC and the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce to work closely to elevate future collaboration on trade and investment between the two regions.
