BRICS Summit – High Level Dialogue on Global Development  

YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing was invited to attend the XIV BRICS Summit’s High-Level Dialogue on Global Development hosted by Xi Jinping, President of China. 

The representatives of Malaysia included YAB Dato Sri’ Ismail Sabri, Prime Minister, YB Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar, Deputy Foreign Minister, YB Dato Sri Mustapa Mohamed, YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China, and Dato’ Amran Mohamed Zin, Secretary General of Foreign Minister. 

During the Dialogue, the Prime Minister proposed three suggestions to fasten the achievement of Agenda 2030: 

  1. The international development architecture be further strengthened
  2. The international community strengthens the multilateral system
  3. The developed countries fulfil their commitment to address the environmental crisis and climate change
