CCPIT visit to Selangor and MoU Signing Ceremony with MCBC 

Malaysia–China Business Council (MCBC) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly establish the ASEAN–China–GCC Business Council, witnessed by YB Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). This initiative, launched under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, aims to deepen trilateral cooperation among ASEAN, China, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) by strengthening trade connectivity, promoting dialogue, and fostering long-term partnerships across the three regions.
 
The MoU signing took place during the visit of CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin, who led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to Malaysia, including visits to Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) and ECRL project. Following the ceremony, a small-group meeting was held with YB Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of MTI, YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan, Chairman of MCBC, Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of CCPIT, Dato’ Tan Tian Meng, Executive Director of MCBC and Datuk Hisham Hamdan, Chief Investment Officer of Khazanah to exchange views on advancing economic cooperation and investment collaboration between Malaysia and China.
