It is a great honour to receive Mr Tu Jibing, Chairman of Giant Light Metal (Kunshan) Technology Co., Ltd, which is located at Kunshan City, Jiangsu, China. The company is a technically advanced and quality industrial aluminium extrusion production and processing plant in East China; moreover, it is one of the largest bicycle companies in the world. In addition, it is a highly influential and internationally recognised company, which had established itself in Malaysia in 2019.
Today, the two parties (Malaysia-China Business Council and Giant Light Metal (Kunshan) Technology) met and discussed the potential of foreign companies establishing factories in Sarawak. The state boasts a vast terrain of the land and an abundance of rich natural resources. Furthermore, with the strong support of the Sarawak state government to promote and provide investors with numerous preferential policies and convenience, we hope that more foreign investment in the local economy will effectively stimulate growth and improve the quality of life of the people of Sarawak. At the same time, with the introduction of the latest foreign technology, which industries and enterprises will draw experience from, and to achieve more technical knowledge exchanges, it will become the beacon for our country as it marches towards Industry 4.0.
