Dato Sri Tiong Meeting with IJM Land Berhad Regarding MCKIP

Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China cum MCBC Chairman, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing met with IJM Land Berhad to discuss some development update and challenges faced by Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP).

MCKIP is an iconic project between Malaysia and China and will be Malaysia’s first national industrial park based in Kuantan, Pahang.

The briefing was conducted by two directors of MCKIP, Mr Lee Chun Fai who is also the Deputy CEO and Deputy Managing Director of IJM Land Berhad and Mr Edward Chong Sin Kiat, Managing Director of IJM Land Berhad at the MCKIP Gallery, Wisma Golden Eagle Realty, Kuala Lumpur.

Further discussion then led by the directors of MCKIP and Ir Kee Lian Cherng, Head of Operation of MCKIPSB to have the word of agreement from Dato Sri Tiong in resolving the issues MCKIP were facing in terms of quit rent, water supply, power supply and others.

The briefing was also attended by Mr Ooi Khir Tong, CEO of MCBC, Mr Lu Yong, representative from Beibu Gulf Holding, En. Mazlim bin Hussein, Chief Operating Officer of Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd and few representatives from Prime Minister’s Special Envoy and MCBC.
