19.06.2020: Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China cum MCBC Chairman, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, H.E. Bai Tian to discuss the prospects of Malaysia-China trade and bilateral investment affair.
Dato Sri Tiong thanked the Ambassador for their affirmation and support for the current business and investment environment in Malaysia. At the same time, he also put forward many suggestions and shared their outlook on the friendly relations between the two countries.
Dato Sri Tiong said that in order to promote more positive mutual exchanges in bilateral trade and investment in the future, the two sides will seek friendlier visa measures according to the needs of relevant business personnel, and through a smoother processes and steps, effectively reduce the required time of visa applications.
He emphasized that he would do his best by preserving a good coordination and communication between government departments and agencies to strengthen a good business environment in Malaysia for Chinese investors. He also committed that he would assist China’s enterprises to obtain more administrative support in terms of licenses application and policy to setup local factories.
