MCBC Officiated JD 618 Shopping Festival Digital Expo & Promo 2021

Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) in collaboration with Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and JD Worldwide Malaysia Flagship Store (JDMas) officially launched the JD 618 Shopping Festival Digital Expo & Promo 2021, held via the ZOOM platform today. 

The purpose of the event is to promote high-quality local brands from Malaysia to China consumers through a complete and up-to-date e-commerce value chain and exciting 618 shopping festival. Therefore, making more exposure of Malaysian products to China consumers and indirectly improving the Malaysian economy. 

The virtual event was officiated by the Chief Executive Officer of MCBC, Mr. Samuel Lee as the representative of the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China cum Chairman of MCBC, YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing. Among the distinguished guests who attended the virtual launch were Malaysia Trade Counsellor MATRADE, Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing, China, Mrs. Razida Hanim Abdul Razak, and the Managing Director of JDMas Commerce Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Bruce Lim. 

Mr. Samuel Lee in his speech mentioned that Malaysian products have reached international food safety standards, therefore, consumers will not have to worry about any safety issues. He also said the cross-border e-commerce platform by JD Worldwide, the Business to Consumer (B2C) e-commerce concept has helped many Malaysian SMEs to promote their products to the China market. Thus, he hoped that all China partners and merchants will have sustainable cooperation with Malaysian brands and products. 

Meanwhile, Mrs. Razida congratulated MCBC and JDMas Commerce for successfully bringing Malaysian brands on the JD Worldwide and JD Fresh platforms through the Malaysia Flagship Store. Hence, she hoped that this event can enhance Malaysian quality brands in China as this event has become a new milestone for trade between Malaysia and China.
