Recently, Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) participated in the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) as well as the First Conference of The 1st Council virtually which was held live in Beijing, China on 29th September.
The representatives from MCBC who attended the online conference were the Director of MCBC, Dato Fam Lee Ee and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MCBC, Mr Samuel Lee.
According to the source, ICDPASO is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization composed of commercial institutions, trade associations, legal service providers as well as other entities in the field of international commerce around the world on a voluntary basis.
As this was their first general assembly, the purpose of the conference was to gather all associations to get information from ICDPASO on their reporting of the preparations of the ICDPASO, review and approve the charter and for the nominating and electing ICDPASO council members. As a member of ICDPASO, MCBC had the opportunity to vote in the nominating session in the First Conference of The 1st Council.
There were more than 40 associations from all over the world that participated in the conference. Among them were All China Lawyers Association, Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa, Asian Financial Cooperation Association and more.
