In early April, MCBC CEO, Mr Samuel Lee and Trade and Investment Executive, Mr Justin Ng Yu Xuan accompanied the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture cum Chairman of MCBC, YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing to China, visiting the cities of Beijing, Chongqing, and Guangzhou.
The visit to China was very fruitful, as Minister YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing accompanied the Prime Minister of Malaysia to meet with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang of the People’s Republic of China at the Great Hall of the People, and he also met with the Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr Hu Heping, the Minister of the Foreign Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Mr Liu Jianchao, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the China Tourism Academy , the China Association of Travel Services, and other enterprises.
We can expect greater and closer people-to-people connectivity in the business and tourism communities between Malaysia and China in the near future. MCBC will make the necessary preparations to engage with various Chinese officials and enterprises, as well as active promotion of series of cooperation to strengthen Malaysia-China bilateral relations.
