The Party Secretary of Xiamen University Mr Yang Zhenbin made a courtesy call on Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting, Chairman of the Malayia-China Business Council. Mr Yang said he was grateful that the first overseas campus of Xiamen University was going to be located in Malaysia where the founder of Xiamen University Mr Tan Kah Kee established his business. He was also grateful for the great support given by Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting, Dato’ Dr Hou Kok Chung and Datuk Ter Leong Yap.
Tan Sri Ong stressed the significance for Xiamen University in establishing a branch campus in Malaysia and he pledged that the Malaysia-China Business Council and relevant govcernment agencies would continue to lend their support to the project in close co-operation and co-ordination.
